Now I’ve had Jeeps for ten years now. I’ve had a lot of little problems (and a few big ones) over the years, a few of them out of the ordinary, but this is the most bizarre issue I’ve ever seen on a Jeep….

Well I ended up finding a smoking deal on a fully loaded ‘96 Cherokee Country on NAXJA so, as usual, I snapped it up. The vehicle has a straight body and a decent interior (needs a bit of love but nothing too bad), about 2″ of lift with 30’s, and major mechanical problems. The engine has, at minimum, bad rod bearings and the transmission won’t go backward. Both of these issues are what brought it down to under $1,000 but they don’t scare me. No sir I’ll fix it right up and drive it in style!

Answer: Very carefully.
Do that and it’ll fit… But just barely!
See, that was easy, wasn’t it?

The red Jeep is in the garage right now. With the shape my garage used to be in that’s major progress!

Went to the yard to look for some stuff for my Chief… Failed miserably there but did find a 44 for Dad’s Jeep. It’ll be a lot nicer when I gear and lock it.
