New Car! 2005 Ford Crown Victoria

Found a good deal on a car..

Read more below.

I was surfing NAXJA one day when I saw a deal on a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, I’d been thinking about getting a full size sedan to use as a daily driver and backup family car for awhile now and the price point wasn’t bad.  I went up to Camarillo and took a look at it, made him an offer, and he accepted it.  So now I get to be that jerk on the freeway who looks like a cop but isn’t one.   Although the nice thing is I’ve seen far less jackasses bouncing between lanes while driving it!

The car was a CHP car in it’s past life but did pretty well for it.  The transmission shifts well and the fluid is bright red and not burnt smelling at all (the transmissions take the brunt of the punishment), the interior is a little warn but not bad by ex-police standards.  With a few junk yard parts and some TLC it will clean up well.  Here are some photographs of the car.

That’s it.  I’m sure there will be more posts about this as I clean it up and make small changes.
